SUNDAY CLASSES
Fellowship Class for Adults (Sunday)
This class seeks to foster participants' walk with Christ through the study of scripture, and thoughtful discussion. This ongoing fellowship class meets in the conference room.
Bible, Bread, and Wine (Sunday Evenings)
On Sunday evenings during the program year, we gather in the Conference Room for an intensive Bible Study that serves as the Liturgy of the Word. Participants reflect on and discuss the Gospel reading for that Sunday in a format that is often far more intense and academic than Sunday mornings. We use sources as varied as Greek and Hebrew references, theological commentaries, poetry, and story to explore the text and its meaning for our lives. We conclude by gathering around the altar for the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
Education for Ministry (Monday Evenings)
EfM is a 4-year program of theological education provided by Sewanee Theological Seminary that is designed to help individuals discern their call to ministry and to live out that call in their daily lives. For detailed information on the program, see http://www.sewanee.edu/EFM/
Bible Study for Women (Tuesday Mornings)
Meeting Tuesdays at 11 am, this is an ongoing class focusing on the study and discussion of Women of the Bible. Led by Grace Keller, this group meets in the Kelley Room.

Cursillo: We Are One In The Spirit! A deeper invitation into Christian community and renewal
Cursillo continues to offer a meaningful way to experience Christian community, prayer, and spiritual growth. Through the Episcopal Cursillo Weekend, clergy and laity gather to strengthen their faith and reconnect with the heart of Christian living. The three-day weekend includes talks, meditations, daily Eucharist, music, and shared meals, all within a supportive and prayerful community. Cursillo is not a retreat, but it is an opportunity to step away from daily life and be renewed in faith, fellowship, and purpose. For questions or assistance, contact Jane Bird in the church office at jbird@stmatthewsepiscopal.org.
