Our mission

We are a group of people who love the Lord our God and seek to preach, teach, heal, and make disciples in all things we do. We come from a variety of different backgrounds but what binds us together is our commitment to becoming better followers of Jesus Christ. We firmly hold that what we pray is what we believe and this shapes how we live.

We are about caring, worshiping, learning, connecting, giving - and supporting youth and education through our preschool.

We hope you will use our website to find a place to participate: online through the posted sermons, at a worship service on Wednesday evening or Sunday morning, or in our outreach activities to feed and provide medical care to the community.

What to expect

Come as you are. At Saint Matthew's, people dress according to their own comfort level. It's not about the clothes we wear, but about clothing ourselves in the character of Christ and fulfilling His mission in the world.

The greeter at the front door will direct you to the nursery or sanctuary, as needed. Elementary-age students attend the service with their parents, following along with activity books.

The service is traditional Episcopalian. We hope you feel warmth and comfort in the sacrament. It lasts a little more than an hour. The first half of the service consists of readings, prayers and the sermon. The second half of the service consists of Holy Communion. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion. Everyone is welcome to come forward for a blessing.
