The Enneagram - Understanding Us

Join us for supper and a fascinating topic, each Wednesday evening, March through April 9.

Supper in the gym at 5:30pm, program & worship from 6:30-8pm.

This is a fun and insightful exploration of the Enneagram, a powerful personality tool that helps us understand our own motivations, patterns, and behaviors—while also deepening our relationships with others.

Whether you’re new to the Enneagram or already familiar with its wisdom, this is a great opportunity for self-discovery, spiritual growth, and engaging conversation. Come ready to learn, laugh, and maybe even have a few “aha!” moments along the way!

For Youth: Derek Langley will lead - we’ll focus on learning more about ourselves; the world around us; and how those fit into who God is calling us to be. We will meet at the same time as the adults, 5:30 pm, but in the Youth Room for pizza, games, and fellowship! See you there!

See you there!

On Ash Wednesday the people of God heard these words:

"I invite you, therefore, in the name of the Church, to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God's holy Word. And, to make a right beginning of repentance, and as a mark of our mortal nature, let us now kneel before the Lord, our maker and redeemer."

This Lent, we focus on the first call—Self-Examination.

What does Holy Scripture say?

“Search me, O God, and know my heart;

test me and know my thoughts.”
Psalm 139:23

“Just as water reflects the face,
so one human heart reflects another.”
Proverbs 27:19

“Let us test and examine our ways,
and return to the Lord.”

Lamentations 3:40

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in the faith.

Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?

—unless, indeed, you fail to meet the test!”

2 Corinthians 13:5

We ask ourselves...

What are my strengths?

What are my growing edges?

With what do I struggle?

What are the strengths of Saint Matthew's as a community of faith?

What are the growing edges of Saint Matthew's?

With what do we struggle?
